Hyunsoo Lee is a classical pianist — concert-trained and conservatory-honed — whose curiosity now reaches beyond the repertoire she was raised on. Through soothekitchen, she shares that search: reinterpretation, improvisation, and new music. The name says it — less a stage than a kitchen, a place where things are made slowly and with care.
She holds a Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Performance from the USC Thornton School of Music, with earlier studies at the Colburn Conservatory and Lynn University, under teachers including John Perry, Norman Krieger, and Choong Mo Kang.
